About SwampWatch

"Drain the swamp." It was a promise made to the American people, but today’s headlines tell a different story: The swamp of corruption and abuse of power is deeper than ever – mired in dark money, self-dealing, and influence peddling. From the White House to the halls of Congress, and even the Supreme Court, the public interest is muffled by the "ka-ching" of big money and bullying by the powerful.

SwampWatch was built to be an antidote.

We are a news and research aggregator dedicated to exposing corruption and the abuse of power in Washington. We summarize the reporting and trenchant analyses of societal impacts and, crucially, provide a roadmap for reform. By offering a menu of legislative, policy, oversight, and litigation fixes, SwampWatch empowers all of us to move past paralysis, rethink what is possible, demand real guardrails, and breathe new air into our democracy.
