David Milstein, senior adviser to US Ambassador Mike Huckabee, is one heck of an editor and a chip off the old block. His stepdad is Mark Levin, the Fox News bloviator who President Trump refers to as “The Great One.” Making papa proud, Milstein’s been ensuring Washington hears the good news about Israel. Only the good news.
Take the West Bank. In March 2026, Israel approved a record number of settlements, defying an explicit US red line on annexation. Embassy staff drafted an urgent memo for Washington that threatened to get Bibi Netanyahu in some hot water. So Milstein hit delete on the report.
He’s been even more creative when it comes to Gaza. Israeli bombs struck near the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation food distribution site, killing and maiming hungry Palestinians. Diplomats warned of the likelihood of more “mass casualty events.” But ever the optimist, Milstein hailed GHF’s food distribution effort in cables to Washington; the deaths and dire warnings were edited out.
And then there’s Congress. After nine Americans were killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers, 30 US lawmakers asked what was being done. Embassy staff found that most Israeli investigations had stalled and no one had been charged. But why burden the lawmakers: Don’t they have enough on their plates as it is? So Milstein stepped into the breach to assure Congress that Israel was handling things just fine. But rather than get a “thank you,” the libtard New York Times reported that Milstein was “effectively stonewalling lawmakers’ efforts to gain information.”
Huckabee, for his part, maintains “absolute confidence” in Milstein’s “impeccable integrity.” Of course he does.
